The purpose of the meeting was General Business.

Arthur G. Houle stated that he is resigning from the Board of Selectmen, effective today,

January 13, 2005. In order to make things clear for this years Election, and to give individuals enough notice time to sign up, he decided that it would be better to resign now as opposed to March as was previously stated in the minutes of January 10.

The Selectmen mentioned that the State would like to use an easement granted to them for 275 sq ft. of Town property. The location is a strip of land near the Double Decker Bridge (Boat House). They will pay the Town $400 for its use.

Laura Bonk from the Historical Society is requesting the use of the Town Hall 4-6 times during the year for Public events. If the room is available at the time requested, the Society may use the premises.

Sandra McKenney reported that she received a message from Deanna Rush that the naming of the bridge House Bill 160 will be discussed at the State House on Tuesday January 18, in Room 201 at 11:00 AM. A letter from the Town will be drafted and signed by the Selectmen to be presented on that day.

A motion was made by Sandra McKenney, seconded by Peter Viar, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 5:50 PM.
