SELECTMEN’S MEETING 2/28/2005

Arthur G. Houle, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, opened the meeting at 7:04 on Monday, February 28, 2005. Present at the meeting: Arthur G. Houle, Sandra A. McKenney, Peter A. Viar, Selectmen; David M. Jodoin, Administrative Assistant. In the audience: Don Peloquin.

The Selectmen met with Don Peloquin for a discussion concerning the Radio and Communications Policy. Everyone who works for the Town will be assigned a number. The numbers will start in the 900’s. A class will be held on how to use the radios properly.

David inquired if the Selectmen were aware of the HB 91 bill regarding the taxing of utility poles. The Selectmen want David to continue checking with surrounding Towns to see if everyone can pool their resources on this matter.

A motion was made by Peter Viar, seconded by Sandra McKenney, to accept the

Minutes of February 16, 2005. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Peter Viar, seconded by Sandra McKenney, to accept the draft of the Public Hearing for the bond issue of 1/12/2005. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Peter Viar, seconded by Sandra McKenney, to accept the

renewal of the cablevision franchise contract with Comcast. Motion passed.

Sandra McKenney stated that Carol Martel reminded the members of the Old Meeting House group that the framers will be here in Allenstown on 5/21/2005.

Shaun Mulholland will meet with the Selectmen on March 14, to discuss the River Road ball fields and their sponsorships and signs.

There is a Planning Board meeting on March 2, 2005.

Sandra McKenney reported that the 2004 Town report is excellent. The reports will be available to townspeople at elections with either a book or on a computer cd.

Jeremy Dupuis was scheduled to meet with the Selectmen to discuss Education Funding but did not show up.

A motion was made by Sandra McKenney, seconded by Peter Viar, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:59 PM.
