SELECTMEN'S PUBLIC MEETING 4/19/04

The Selectmen's Public Meeting was opened by Sandra A. McKenney, Selectperson for the Board of Selectmen. Chairman Arthur G. Houle,

was excused from the meeting due to a death in the family. Also present

at the meeting was Peter A. Viar, Selectman; and David M. Jodoin, Administrative Assistant.

The Selectmen cancelled the Non-Public meeting with Marcella Hinkell, Welfare

Director and a Non-Public meeting with Monica Nann-Smith, the Building Inspector due to the absence of Chairman Houle.

The Non-Public meetings will be scheduled at a later time.

David discussed with the Selectmen the tax deeding issue. It was determined that all tax deeds needed to be paid by September 1st 2004 with no interest being waived or the property would be deeded.

Selectman Viar inquired if the Town Attorney had been reached to discuss the

5 acre lots amendment voted on at Town Meeting. David stated, yes, and the Attorney would be willing to discuss the issue with the Board.

David stated that the Budget Committee would like all Department budgets by September 1st so that they can review them all together. They also would like the Selectmen to set a directive for the increase if any to the individual budgets.

The Comcast contract will be reviewed by the Selectmen. David will make copies of similar contracts from Pembroke and Concord so the Selectmen can review.

David stated that the Meeting House committee will apply for a $10,000 grant. David was asked to write a letter towards the Grant from the Division of Historical Resources.

The Selectmen signed elderly exemptions.

Peter Viar made a motion, seconded by Sandra McKenney, to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:24 PM.
