SELECTMEN'S PUBLIC MEETING 3/10/03

The Selectmen's public meeting was opened by Chairman Benjamin E. Fontaine, Jr., at 7:04 PM. Present were Chairman Fontaine, Arthur G. Houle, Selectman, and Sandra A. McKenney, Selectperson. Also present was the Administrative Assistant, David M. Jodoin.

Sandra McKenney made a motion, seconded by Arthur Houle, to accept the minutes of 3/3/03. Motion passed.

Sandra McKenney made a motion, seconded by Arthur Houle, to amend the minutes of 3/3/03, 1st page, 2nd paragraph, to read: any correspondence or letter written should go first to the Town office and David Jodoin. Motion passed.

A discussion ensued that when the Mobile home park owners submit their checks for their yearly license fee, they should also submit a park layout map as a backup document.

The Selectmen will appeal a decision of the Zoning Board regarding a subdivision at 2 Oak Street, the property belonging to Samuel and Kathleen Santiago. A decision was granted with conditions by the Zoning Board on February 11, 2003. David will call the Town Attorney and inform him to proceed. The Selectmen also noted that when a decision is made on the Zoning Board, that the Selectmen and the Planning board should know the outcome the next day.

The budget committee will have to approve the Fire truck expense of $17,620 before the money can be spent. Five thousand dollars will be taken out of the Fire truck repair line, and the rest out of surplus for a total of $22,620 If it passes, the Fire Department will have to watch expenses and the bottom line and not spend on unnecessary items such as shirts, badges, etc.

A motion was made by Sandra McKenney, seconded by Arthur Houle, to accept Karen Gendreau's resignation from the Planning Board. Motion passed.

A motion was made by Sandra McKenney, seconded by Arthur Houle, to appoint Tom Gilligan to full-time planning board member, replacing Karen Gendreau. Motion passed. Term will expire April 1, 2005.

Sandra McKenney will attend a Hooksett Town Council meeting Thursday and hopefully discuss ATVs with them as the subject has not been addressed from Hooksett.

A motion was made by Sandra McKenney, seconded by Arthur Houle, to go into non-public at 7:37 PM for Building Inspector interviews. Roll call vote: Arthur Houle, yes; Sandra McKenney, yes; Benjamin Fontaine, yes.

A motion was made by Sandra McKenney, seconded by Arthur Houle, to come out of non-public meeting at 10:07 PM. Roll call vote: Arthur Houle, yes; Sandra McKenney, yes; Benjamin E. Fontaine, Jr., yes.

A motion was made by Arthur Houle, seconded by Sandra McKenney to adjourn the meeting at 10:08 PM. Motion passed.
