SELECTMEN'S PUBLIC MEETING 3/31/03

Chairperson Sandra McKenney, opened the meeting at 6:40 PM. Present were Sandra A. McKenney, Arthur G. Houle, Benjamin E. Fontaine, Jr., Selectmen; and David M. Jodoin, Administrative Assistant.

A motion was made by Arthur Houle, seconded by Benjamin Fontaine, to go into non-public meeting as per RSA 91-A, II, to interview for the Fire Chief position. Present was Chief Henry Lipe of the Hampton Fire Department who would help interview the candidates. Roll call vote: Arthur Houle, yes; Benjamin Fontaine, yes; Sandra McKenney, yes.

The public meeting was re-opened at 8:50 PM.

The Selectmen mentioned several topics that have been discussed but not completed. The Deputy Town Clerk position will be 12 hours a week plus vacation and sick coverage. David Jodoin stated that the pay study contract was sent to NHMA and that he spoke to the Hooksett Town Administrator concerning the police dispatch bill.

On motion of Arthur Houle, seconded by Benjamin Fontaine, the minutes of 3/17/03 were accepted.

On motion of Sandra McKenney, seconded by Arthur Houle, the minutes of 3/17/03 were amended to read: Paragraph #4: Instead of Chairperson McKenney making a sugggestion, it was Selectman Fontaine. Motion passed.

The Selectmen met with Robert Tigges of River Road who came in to discuss the situation behind his home on Kimberly Street. Mr. Tigges wants to know

how long it will take to clean it up. Discussed were junk vehicles on the property behind his home. Also discussed were gasoline tanks and other debris in the brook on River Road. The Selectmen hired a new Building Inspector and she will look over the situation and will get back to Mr. Tigges. The Town will contact the State Environmental Bureau.

The Selectmen discussed having an ordinance for everyone in Town to post a house number. David will look into other Town's ordinances and report back.

Chairperson McKenney had a call from Ron Adinolfo from Tri-Town ambulance regarding a meeting for ambulance service in Hooksett.

Mr. Adinolfo will attend the meeting.

The Selectmen will start meeting monthly with all Department Heads. They will meet the last Monday of the month.

Selectman Fontaine will remain the Board representative on the budget committee and Selectman Houle will remain the Board representative on the Planning Board.

The Master Plan was approved March 6th and is being printed. Once it is printed, the group will meet in a workshop to go over it.

Chairperson McKenney will suggest to the employees a room upstairs to be used as a lunchroom. Full-time employees have a half hour lunch and part-time employees have 15 minutes. Full time employees should leave their area for lunch.

Suggested names of people to meet again with Commissioner Bald on the fine filter review panel are: Armand Verville, Phil Trowbridge, Benjamin Fontaine, Carol Martel, Scott Lane, Claudette Verville. David will contact Commissioner Bald to see when the meeting will be.

The Assessing Clerk, Penny Touchette is starting full-time on April 1st. Her hours will be Monday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 6 PM-8PM; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

8:30 AM - 5:00 PM and Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

On motion of Benjamin Fontaine, seconded by Arthur Houle, the meeting adjourned at 10:05 PM.
