SELECTMEN'S PUBLIC MEETING 6/9/03
Sandra A. McKenney, Chairperson of the Board of Selectmen, opened the meeting at 7 PM. Present at the meeting were Sandra A. McKenney and Arthur G. Houle, Selectmen; Benjamin E. Fontaine, Jr., was excused; David M. Jodoin, Administrative Assistant; Fire Chief Everett Chaput III and Donald Peloquin.
The Selectmen met with the Fire Chief to discuss purchase orders.
#1 a storage cabinet for flammable liquids. The Chief will check for another bid and get back to the Board.
#2 Protective equipment for the Chief.
Fire Chief Chaput presented 2 letters to the Selectmen.
The Selectmen will decide on these matters at a full board meeting.
Donald Peloquin brought up the fire alarm issue regarding the dispatch fees.
The Selectmen requested Fire Chief Chaput write a letter to the Concord Fire Chief expressing concern with the fees issue and asking for an extension since he just became the new Chief. The Selectmen would like to review the letter before it goes out. Chappy will e-mail the Administrative Assistant.
The appointment of Diane Demers as Deputy Town Clerk will take place at the next Selectmen's meeting when there is a full Board.
Selectperson McKenney reported that she got a call from David Eaton of River Road who saw several trail bikes riding on River Road. Lt. Neal of the Police Department informed Sandra McKenney that is was a fund raiser and everyone was registered to drive on the road.
David will check with Attorney Bedard regarding a request from one of the individuals requesting to be appointed to the Fire Department.
Selectperson McKenney reported that everything is working fine at the dump. If there is no sticker or application, there is no admittance.
Chairperson McKenney reported that there was one call regarding the clarification of tenants at a Park to observe the trash ordinance. The Board will finalize all terms once the ordinance returns from legal counsel.
The Selectmen signed a purchase order for $430 for the Bar Association annual dues. This is for Katherine Rogers of the Police Department.
Arthur Houle made a motion, seconded by Sandra McKenney to go into non-public meeting under RSA 91-A:3 II ©. at 7:35 PM. Roll call vote: Arthur Houle, yes; Sandra McKenney, yes. Motion passed.
The Public meeting resumed at 8:07 PM.
Arthur Houle made a motion, seconded by Sandra McKenney to adjourn the meeting at 8:08 PM. Motion passed.
