SELECTMEN'S MEETING 11/18/2002
Benjamin E. Fontaine, Jr., Chairman of the
Board of Selectmen, opened the meeting at 7:09 PM. Present were Benjamin E.
Fontaine, Jr., and Arthur G. Houle, Selectmen; David M. Jodoin, Administrative
Assistant. Sandra McKenney, Selectperson, was excused.
The Selectmen met with Police Chief
McGonigle and Sgt. Shaun Mulholland to discuss the current Police Department
computer program. The present system is a program that was designed by a former
police officer and it has extreme limitations. The Chief said that there is a
desperate need to replace this system. Sgt. Mulholland discussed the Prime Star
system which he feels would give better service to the Department as well as
being less expensive than the IMC system that most communities use.
Arthur Houle made a motion, seconded by
Benjamin Fontaine to accept the installation of the new Prime Star system at a
cost of $7,400 and to be charged to the Police Department computer line. Motion
passed unanimously.
A motion was made by Arthur Houle, seconded
by Benjamin Fontaine, to approve the amount of $250 to be given to the Pembroke
Women's Club for Christmas in Suncook. Motion passed unanimously.
David Jodoin reminded the Selectmen that
Planning and Zoning articles for the deliberative session will be accepted from
11/10 to 12/10. Jim Rodger suggested that a workshop be scheduled with
Planning, Zoning and all Department Heads to insure that nothing gets missed or
overlooked when granting variances and or subdivisions.
Arthur Houle made a motion, seconded by
Benjamin Fontaine, to accept the minutes of 11/4/02 Selectmen's meeting. Motion
passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 PM.
