The Selectmen met to review and sign paperwork.

The Selectmen discussed several matters:

  1. Sandra A. McKenney stated that she had spoken to an individual at Tri-Town and he stated that he had heard that there was a new ambulance in Town and that the Fire Chief had started discussions with them. Ben stated that the Board would need more information on this from the Chief and that it was up to the Board to enter into the contract.
  2. The Board of Selectmen unanimously appointed David Jodoin and Ronald Montplaisir Jr. to handle the per-ambulation of Town lines between Hooksett and Allenstown.

Also discussed was the Merrimack County budget on 3/21; Regional dinner on 3/20 to be attended by Selectman Houle and Selectperson McKenney; and the Budget committee meeting on 3/21.

David informed the Board that they needed to reiterate the non-smoking policy in Town Buildings. David complained that people were still smoking in Town Hall and that it was affecting him and other workers. David also stated that the Board needed to enforce the policies. Selectman Fontaine stated that a letter should be drafted to all employees with a copy of the RSA’S stating the applicable fines and designating an area outside away from the building as the smoking area and reminding employees that this would be the last warning and that the fines would be imposed and enforced.

The Purchasing policy and the Payroll policy will be given to the Department heads for review and suggestions. They need to return suggestions by Friday so that the Selectmen can review Monday.

A letter was received from the Department of Revenue Administration telling us the tax ratio for this year is 93%.
