SELECTMEN'S PUBLIC MEETING 3/29/2004
The Selectmen's meeting was opened at 7:00 PM by Chairman Arthur G. Houle.
Present at the meeting was Sandra A. McKenney, Selectperson; Peter A. Viar, Selectman; David M. Jodoin, Administrative Assistant, and James Boisvert from the Highway Department.
James Boisvert read the six bids he received for a new backhoe Loader.

The Selectmen will review the bids.
Jim reported that the specifications for Hamel Avenue street repairs are ready.
Jim will talk to Dana at the Wastewater Plant regarding 2 homes that have had back-up water in their home.
A motion was made by Sandra A. McKenney, seconded by Peter A. Viar, to accept the minutes of the meeting of March 22, 2004. Motion passed.
Sandra McKenney reported that the meeting for Senate Bill 343, (ATVS) will be held on Wednesday, March 31, at 1:30 PM. Sandra will be attending, as well as Armand Verville.
Sandra reported that students who did artwork with Mrs. Kneeland at school, will be interviewed for an article in the newspaper.
The Joint Loss Management and Safety Committee will meet on April 5th at 11:00 AM at the Highway garage for a walk through.
Other matters discussed were raffle tickets at the Recreation Center, 2 different size hoses to be purchased for the Fire Department, and taking the money out of the Capital Reserve Fund.
A motion was made by Sandra A. McKenney, seconded by Peter A. Viar, to go into a non-public meeting under RSA 91-A III 2 C, with Marcella Hinkell, the Welfare Director for the Town. Roll call vote: Sandra, yes; Peter, yes; Arthur, yes. Motion passed.
The public meeting resumed at 8:08 PM.
The Selectmen discussed a property lien. The taxpayer wanted to pay the taxes on a payment plan.
A motion was made by Sandra McKenney, seconded by Peter A. Viar, not to grant this person a payment plan to pay the tax lien, as this must be consistent with past requests that do not allow payment plans. Motion passed.
Chairman Houle stated that the Fire Department is purchasing supplies from Central Paper Company and when it is a small order, there is a charge of $5.00. Chairman Houle would like supplies purchased in bulk at Sam's or BJ's.
Chairman Houle stated that there needs to be a meeting with Comcast to review the proposed contract. The Selectmen will go over the agreement and discuss it at a Selectmen's meeting on April 19th.
Volunteers who are interested in joining Boards in Town should come in next Monday to discuss their reasons for wanting to be on the Boards. People are needed for Zoning, Planning, and Conservation. Three people have shown interest in some Boards: Robert Bergeron, Richard Gilbert, and Michelle Fraser.
