MINUTES OF SELECTMEN’S MEETING 7/29/2002

Arthur G. Houle, Selectman, opened the meeting at 7:00 PM on July 29, 2002.

Present were Arthur G. Houle, Sandra A. McKenney, Selectmen; David M. Jodoin, Administrative Assistant. Excused was Benjamin E. Fontaine, Jr., Chairman.

The Selectmen met with the Pembroke Selectmen for a discussion on the double-decker bridge. Present were Gerald Belanger, Chairman; and Brian Tufts. Absent was John Goff.

The Selectmen discussed Plan A and Plan B. The Department of Transportation and the Allenstown Selectmen are currently favoring Plan A; the Pembroke Selectmen are supporting plan B. Plan A will take approximately 2-3 years while Plan B will take 2-2 ½ years.

After discussion, the Allenstown Selectmen will meet on August 12^th, to discuss in more detail both plans once they have both diagrams. They will inform the Pembroke Selectmen of their decision.

The Selectmen signed paperwork, and read correspondence.

On motion of Sandra McKenney, seconded by Arthur Houle, the minutes of 7/15/2002 were accepted as read.

On motion of Arthur Houle, seconded by Sandra McKenney, the meeting adjourned at 7:57 PM.
